Our grantmaking is rooted in trust, collaboration, and the leadership of girls and young feminists on the frontlines of crises.

Girls and young feminists from crisis-affected contexts shape our priorities, guide decisions, and hold the fund accountable.

  • Activist advisors and regional communities provide ongoing insights on emerging crises, local needs, and trusted groups doing frontline work

  • Our Activist Stewarding Circle offers strategic direction, ensuring our funding reflects lived realities and movement priorities

This means funding decisions are informed by those closest to the crisis, bringing nuance, speed, and accountability to our grantmaking.

We provide flexible, adaptable grants that respond to different phases of crisis. We trust grantee partners to use funds where they are most needed.

COLLABORATIVE

We are part of a broader feminist funding ecosystem. Together, we pool and move resources collectively, coordinate funding efforts to reduce duplication and gaps, and share referrals and insights to reach groups often excluded from traditional funding.

Our collaborative model allows us to move funding faster, more strategically, and with less burden on frontline groups.

Our support goes beyond grants. We work alongside grantee partners to offer:

  • Spaces for collective care, healing, and resilience

  • Education and movement-building opportunities

  • Learning and documentation to amplify their work and influence broader systems

FOR GROUPS LOOKING FOR FUNDING

We know that many groups are doing critical work on the frontlines of crisis. We occasionally open calls for applications in specific contexts, but most of our grantmaking relies on our:

  • Local advisors and activist networks

  • Regional knowledge and long-term relationships

  • Ecosystem partners and referrals

This approach allows us to reach grassroots, informal, and frontline groups often excluded from formal funding, while reducing administrative burdens so activists can focus on responding to crises rather than completing applications.

It avoids extractive and highly competitive processes that consume time and energy with little return, and instead prioritise trust, relationships, and context-driven decision-making. 

Ultimately, it enables us to move funding faster and more strategically, ensuring resources reach the communities that need them most, when they need them most.
