Earthquake in Venezuela: Support local feminist groups leading crisis response
Thousands of people have been displaced overnight, with many still trapped under the rubble or searching for loved ones. 🚨 While rescue efforts continue, communities across Venezuela are doing everything they can to save lives and care for those who have lost everything.
Communities are already stepping in: rescuing survivors, sharing tools and informal protective equipment, clearing debris, opening their homes to displaced families, and organizing collective care for those with nowhere else to turn.
Young Venezuelan feminists are already responding
Feminist groups in Venezuela are organizing emergency relief, sourcing supplies for both families and rescue groups, and caring for displaced families, while supporting the communities hardest hit and more often overlooked.
They are also organizing to provide long-term support to displaced families, knowing that once the headlines fade, the crisis will continue, and that displaced girls, children, women, and LGBTQI+ people often face the greatest risks.
They urgently need resources to continue this life-saving work. At the Global Resilience Fund, we are working to deliver emergency funding directly to community feminist groups responding on the front lines.
They’re reaching girls and families who have no one else to turn to.
Through our humanitarian rapid response stream at The Global Resilience Fund, we’re working around the clock to deliver emergency funds to feminist groups leading crisis response on the front lines, and we need you to join us.
Funding is urgently needed for:

Support for caregivers—especially mothers—caring for displaced and injured children
Psychosocial support for girls, women, children, LGBTQI+ people, and affected communities
Mutual aid and community care networks
Our Congolese feminist partners are already on the ground and already responding.
